KK is not bad just made hot off the fryer. I compare them when I need a quick fix of sushi I walk or ride three blocks to the local grocery store  and get their ready " stuff " to hold me over. 

But our local sushi restaurant kicks butt.

The we have mojo donuts near us a local shop, they are the BOMB !

A dozen KK at $12 and mojo at around $35 definitely a difference in quality and taste

Ole Huell WAS a gem. Unfortunately he passed away many years ago. I used to enjoy many of his "California Gold" and other shows.
Have to agree about KK. Never was a fan and don't understand the love that so many have for them. That Donut Man looks delicious but just too far for me to travel for a snack. Philippe's is great. When I used to work in Whittier, I would sometimes take an extra long lunch so I could run over there. The BEST french dips I've ever had.
