For my 70 MACH 1. The "towers" where the front shock bolt into i need to replace as i have lovely chrome reproduction ones  :-[ Is there a proper part number for the factory tower caps? this is just the top piece that accepts the shock bots. Thanks

great and thanks
Keep in mind you will have to weld on the reinforcement washers to your donor "beehive" caps to make them look factory . Unlike other years (66/67 in particular) where there were sporadic times in production when the heavy duty caps were not used for whatever reason 69/70 typically had them throughout production. They would be painted black when reinforced unlike the typical zinc phosphate Dearborn caps.

Pretty sure a Mach One is not a Shelby Bob.

The shelbys had washers welded to them. Depending on your plant the caps could be painted or phosphate. Dearborn phos, Metuchin and SJ   painted. Shelbys are also painted-see pic below for washer ref.
