68 deluxe rear seat belt

Is there a suggested method to remove the metal seat belt cover to strip and allow for painting? My passenger side rear belt is scuffed from use and pulling it through the rear seat.

Get some to pry the cover on the enclosed end, it will pop off

Popped right off with a small screwdriver. Will blast and paint tomorrow.
