Sadly, in the first paragraph of the article, its already BS, incorrect spelling and bad grammar:

"Eleanor. That was the name given to the Ford Mustang in both versions of the classic car heist flic Gone in 60 Seconds. The original film showcased a yellow 1971 Mustang, but most people recall the 1967 Shelby GT500 from the 2000 remake. In the movie mythology it's the hardest car to steal, and it seems that played out recently in real life, to a certain extent anyway."

Fake news. A so called automotive journalist can't even get his facts correct.

The part I quoted about the stolen new GT500s was correct - they got them all back.

They stepped up the volume for their next gig -

It seems Ford was the target of another high-profile vehicle heist. This time around, thieves made off with no less than 13 F-150 Raptor pickup trucks, with a total value of $1 million dollars. And they were literally nabbed from Ford's backyard. Specifically, the pickup trucks were stolen from Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant........

Wait until any of them are taken in or any warranty service.  Someone is going to lose a truck. 8)
Just nuts.

During Volkswagen dieselgate they were storing the cars they bought back at the Silverdome in Pontiac, MI. Nearly 70 were stolen and resold with fake paperwork. VW didn't know it until they started getting warranty bills for cars they had bought back.

Only the dumb thieves would bring them in for service. The smart ones have already sold and or stripped them for parts.
