Another Neat car all complete, but seriously weathered. (Where are the bumpers?)

Are owners of these cars that have been deteriorating for decades final wising up to let them go to a better home/ future?
or are some of the owners sadly passing away and their families are cleaning house (garages)?

Come on already!  They couldn't have at least put a hose to it to get rid of some of the grime on the windows?  I know it takes away from the 'Barn find vide', but give me a break.

You know it has to be pretty bad if Legendary is only asking $69K for it.
Nothing beats a classic!

Great that it's "found"

(what's the car number?)

I Agree, the filthy barn find fad has run it's course.

I totally agree. That's what "before and after" pics are for! Take some good pics of the car "as found" and then clean it up!

As Legendary is a restoration shop I wonder why they decided to offer it for sale in this condition instead of restoring it.

Also don't forget, the dirt on top of what was once a beautiful car is worth MEGA $ to someone....  ;D
Shelby's and Fords from Day 1

roddster

Dark green, automatic car completed in March of 67.  Wouldn't be too hard to figure out.  Sent to Larsen Ford in New York.

What doesn't add up is this: Parked during the fuel crisis in the 70's.  The first crisis was what? 1974, then in sat "in a barn" for the next 27 years.  So, it seems to have been out for about 15.
This car must have been somewhere else.

The number can be determined, but not sure they want it "out" as they never seem to list the VIN. Not sure why that is as most knowledgeable people would want this information. It's not like asking for the Ford VIN.

Can anyone save an image of the car for the long term record? The link will expire.   I can't from work.

Thanks

So, would you prefer to own it as-is (after a washing) or restore it.  I would get it running an leave it as is...

I'd make the car functional, clean up and drive as is,  I'd swap in less distress parts where needed, i.e. radio, but still with patina.
