There is also a very active Cobra club in Pittsburgh with several members attending many of the Grand Prix events throughout that following week.  You will find some pictures from last year at www.pvgp.org.  There are parade laps offered to certain groups at Schenley Park on the track before the races.  If you (and anyone else) can make it and would like to get on the track for a parade lap, I can speak with the Executive Director and should be able to make that happen!  I was fortunate enough to lead the parade in 2019 in my '65 GT350 with Mr Cantwell riding shotgun.

This will be our first SAAC convention and we're really looking forward to it.  And with that comes many questions.  Should we (as we were told in basic training) 'hurry up and wait' for more information?  Or is it out there and I'm too dumb to find it?
Made hotel reservations and Shelby Club wasn't recognized.

I can tell you I made my hotel reservations and "Shelby Club" was recognized.

2023 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix poster

Toronto artist Tavis Coburn created this magnificent poster. His unique style is inspired by 1940s comic book art, the Russian avant-garde movement, and printed materials from the forties and fifties. Over the years Tavis' work has garnered many accolades, including top honors from The Society of Publication Designers and the Society of Illustrators.

The striking poster depicts a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta on the track with a 1963 Shelby Cobra 289 FIA Roadster in hot pursuit, the way they would have raced 60 years ago. The Ford vs Ferrari theme mirrors the fact that the PVGP is honoring both Ferrari and Shelby this summer.

I'll be there with the noisy beast! Look for updates to the car since last time it was at a SAAC convention....

Anyone running open track I will see you. I'll be running grid and helping run open track.

I have retired from running this conventions' and all future convention car shows. I may appear there, so keep your eyes open.

Booked my room at $124 today but did have to call the hotel directly during business hours to do that.  Was not able to get the group rate to work online.

Be easy on me. Novice and first time going. On the poker run registration with a 4 seater. Is it one $90 entry to include my wife and kids? Or, is it $90 X 4? It reads weird to me:

So being late to the party the Pitt Marriot North  hotel online says "not Available" for Friday night. So what other hotels in the vicinity are others using? Thanks. Gary
