We had a break in the weather today, the deicing slime is mostly washed away at the moment, the roads were dry and the town was rather sleepy with most businesses closed for the holiday causes light traffic everywhere which was really nice.  This combination made for a great opportunity for some driving and take some photos of the car at the state capitol and Willamette University.

Happy New Year!

Looking good, Brian.

Even our trailer queen got some light exercise in the neighborhood on New Year's day, which was beautiful.

Great photos Brian!

Got 6S1757 out today for it's inaugural 2023 drive, engine sure likes these colder temps.

Great photos of your car thanks for posting!

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Are you in four gear at that RPM range in the photo?  What rear end is in your car?  It seems mine revs about the same in fourth at 50 plus mph. 3.50 rear end on the Hertz.

Yep, 4th gear, rear end is 4.11, tires are 205/70R-14. Calculates very close according to the various online calculators, maybe 100-200 RPM high.

Depending on tire size I would think you'd be closer to ~2700 RPM with 3.50's.

Brian, I got your car's twin, #1366, out yesterday. How many 55 degree days do we get in Maryland at the end of January, with no salt on the roads? Not many!

Cool,but Sammy Hagar was very clear about"driving 55"..... :D

Stevieb350

Only the temp out, not the speed...... ;)
