My steering wheel foam pad is pulling away from the metal base exposing some of the yellow-brown foam at the edges. Any thoughts on spraying the pad with black charcoal vinyl spray paint vs replacing the pad? Is this just a loosing battle? Thanks.

They never used black charcoal as far as I have seen. vinyl black pad. I use a vinyl dye for center pads.

+1 . The vinyl pads were black from the factory. It is the dark plastic of the steering wheel body that is the very dark charcoal metallic.

Thanks. Any suggestions for a black vinyl spray paint to use? Matte, semi-gloss, etc?
