So when I see 1969 Mustang Fastbacks with I think are the cheap repo belt line quarters on them(not full dynacorns) I try and see if they put the side marker lights in the correct spot since the cheapo repos do not have holes stamped the the side lights. I got verified original paint/panel cars in pics to compare. I'm sure most viewers  or perspective buyers don't go through this process. So many are off from their original factory position. My question has always been why do shops not take the time for proper side marker alignment? I do the same for the floors. Did they make an effort to duplicate a factory 69 floor pan?

Selling dealer has a 1.8 rating with 75 reviews-Larson Volkswagon.  Read them with interest.  Now, that may or may not be pertinent in this case but it's certainly a reflection on how they've handled this listing.  IMO-he should no sale it-I doubt it will get close to reserve anyway-re-group and come back out for extra innings with a clean slate & a highly descriptive/verified listing.  Someone should get eyes on this thing for sure.  As always, at the right price, it's a worthy investment.  Let's see what happens...

Anyone with eyes what should be looked at at the rear quarters at the beltline in the trunk(seams?). Fender apron overlaps. Rear frame rails. Closer inspection on the frame rails just in front of the rear end. Lower front fender in front of the wheel pass side for damage assessment. Trunk pans under the trunk mat. floors.  VIn on back of block. might be able to get with a cell phone with as light on.  If restoration to a mint car was my goal I'd pay more to Bret for a solid numbers matching 4 speed GT350 project  with all or most of the parts there-running or not- as I'd be farther ahead with that car than this car.

yes and they do not give them out(seller could I guess). No reserve auctions say no reserve to start the header

What I found interesting are some of the comments from the like  the crowd was tough. "I'd sell my car at MEcum before I'd ever sell it on BaT. So what does that say the guy has a Shelby with issues and knows if he put it on BaT it would get picked apart or tough questions asked? Funny in that good cars never do. Personally I think the crowd could have been much tougher(not ever proposing that) and if this was a Vette or a Mopar sure would have been. Yeah it was a "great" car. All Shelbys are. Some are greater than others.
