turn signals not working

Hi
4 way flasher works all lights function, installed new turn signal switch in steering column 1 year ago but since then they stopped, is there a flasher somewhere? Other ideas?

Turn signal flasher is under the dash. Should be a #323.

hey Coral, where under dash in middle or either side? can I switch the 4 way flasher (where is that?) for turn signal and try that?

It should be the flasher near the ash tray. I can reach mine if I take the ashtray assembly out. Good luck.

  Since the turn signal switch is rather new, check to make sure the contact pins at the block (base of the column) haven't pushed out - not making contact.

Original TS flasher was connected to the rear of the dash panel near the clock.  Twisted in with a 1/4 turn into a rectangular slot.   Don't know if Shelby changed the factory #224 (blue) flasher as was standard 67 Mustang.  A #323 may work better because of the 3 bulb tail lights as opposed to single bulb on production cars.  Both will twist into the slot.   The 4-way flasher was a heavier duty piece in a metal case attached to the LH side above pedal support.

SA did not make a change in flasher.

Everytime thisquestion comes up, it gets to be a little frustrating.

Everyone always has a great suggestion of how they fixed theor lights.

The 323 flasher is specifically for the six bulb set up.

I am sure the LED and electronic flasher posts cant be far behind

My post was just reporting what SA didn't do in 67. The 323 flasher might be a good upgrade for a 67 Shelby with a problem. I personally have never had a problem.

I replaced mine a few years ago and it is behind the ash tray unit up to the left. Be prepared to get some cuts
on your wrist from the sharp edges. Replaced mine with the standard Mustang unit I bought at Pep Boys.

Texas Swede.   FYI pep boys=no good...Took my Volvo in for an oil change.Came back and my drivers door was caved in.Said they would make it right promptly..Then the games began.Took about a year and a trip to small claims court to get them to pay.Every delaying tactic possible,almost like they were following some kind of script...Caveat Emptor!There are other auto parts stores out there and I have never set foot in one of there's since...Be careful,it could happen to you :(

I drive Model A's and the problem with hand signals is very few know what a hand signal is and most of them look to see what you are pointing at instead of slowing down.  >:(   :o  ::)
