This recently came up in another thread. I thought I would break it out so it will be easier to find later. The purpose of this thread is to document the cars, not make a judgement. If you know anything about this red car before 1998 please let me know. It came out of Las Vegas, Neveda

This red car was recently for sale in the Netherlands:

This car came from the US in 1998 and was exported to Norway, then the Netherlands

The gold car was for sale here in the US in 2022. It retains all its original identification tags.

Is 01767 supposed to be an AC car or a non-AC car? To me, adding AC or omitting AC would be a major Oh $hit mistake if I were cloning a Shelby.

Steve
I have owned 8T03S-01425 since 06/76.
I owned 6S2295 in 1973 & '74.

Adding A/C on a non A/C car is typically looked at as a desirable add on by the driven majority as long as it is done like the factory in all but concours competing cars. Leaving off A/C on a factory A/C car however is definitely a value minus move.

I believe it originally had AC

Edit: I dont think 1767 originally had AC (not on build tag)

98SVT - was 06GT

What does the registrar think? This will be one to haunt both owners. The gold car appears to be recently discovered. I vote for the gold car and would suspect someone grabbed an "unknown #" out of the registry to build the red one.
The gold one looks to possibly have had major damage to the right side - 1/4 replaced, inner & outer wheel wells, RR floor pan, R rocker. Maybe builder of red car saw it sitting w/damage and figured it would never be rebuilt.
But...... the red one does have a signed glove box door.

That is reproduction fiberglass. It appears the red car does have some original Shelby parts.

The car was listed with no owner history in the 1997 Registry

That is just before the red car history starts. Thats why it would be interesting to see if anyone knows about the car prior to 1998, just before the car went to Europe

Hello
I can confirm that the rumor that this car was fake was out shortly after this car came too Norway. What I remember was that the car was bought in Las Vegas from a man there who was involved in a mustang club there, sorry that I cant remember any name. The car has been on the market from time too time trying too sell it,obvious that was very difficult, now it is in Netherlands

Took a picture from the Registry.

I hope that SAAC had fixed the Tittle on the one below it (Gt3530).

Hello
There was sent a warning from Norway to the dealer in the Netherlands that this car has a big chance of being fake, just a few minutes after the mail was sent, the car was set in sold "modus" on their web page. maybe they have put it in sold modus just to maybe investigate this further if they are serious.
