Cobra jet c6 identification assistance

Hello,

Can this set of pictures confirm my transmission is a cobra jet version.  I think it is.  Past articles seem to confirm these case numbers, part numbers.  The R servo, I understood was not an easy bolt on fake it.  The milling was different on case for the higher performance version transmission.

Any comments, assistance from more knowledgeable is appreciated.  I am selling and do not want to misrepresent the part.

If it is a real CJ transmission the VIN will be stamped on top. A Marti report for that VIN will confirm if it is a 428CJ / SCJ or not.

If it was sold over the counter (doubtful) or a warranty replacement (possible) there would be no VIN on it.

I've never seen one like that but it's possible I guess.

Thanks for the recommendation...Martiauto could not verify a complete vin to give me enough information, (or would not).  So can anyone tell me by the r servo, the case numbers etc are in fact cobra jet transmission, without a piece of paper report.  I did not think the cobra jet version was easily faked with r servo...any experts assist?

  Am I wrong?  I thought that if the trans was put into a Cobra Jet equipped car, the tail shaft housing would be cast iron and not aluminum.
   That little trick came from the car known as Lil' Red.

That is correct. Cast iron tail shafts were used. Engineering and casting numbers on the case are not helpful in identification. A partial VIN or an original tag is very helpful.

I guess internal examination of individual parts might aid in identification.

Cop cars also got cast iron tail shafts. The VIN tells you a lot of what you need to know. The column shift arm tells me it was installed in a Cyclone or a Fairlane.

  All I am going to add is that it seems that the tail shaft in the photo is aluminum.
