Hi.

Customer has a wood Shelby 3 spoke steering wheel. There is a bad connection in the wire between one of the two connection rings and the horn button. Looks like these wires and the center of steering wheel is made up with some composite material that makes it difficult to adress the problem. Please advice.

I have had to do a good number over the years. Basically you need to test the wires to see if one or both are broken inside. You drill down through the epoxy matrix, thread a wire or wires through then weld or solder the replacement wire or wires to the inside, outside or both contact rings on the bottom side. It is stainless so be prepared.  Some people do not have basic skills and will see this as too daunting of a task in which case they may need to have others do it for them. Others will see this as tedious but doable. Hopefully with this info you can decide which is the best way for you to proceed. Best of luck with what ever you decide.
