NOS 1968-1970 Lucas Lamps.

Does anyone make the small black grommet? I like to refer it it as an O-ring even though it isn't one but looks like one installed if that makes sense.

I have found comparable substitutes in the yellow serv a lite boxes at the hardware store . I don't think it is anything very special.

Mr Gaines is correct, nothing special about the grommet. Unfortunately the hole size in the housing differs for the two types of wiring leads. You can not just put in a black grommet on the grey housings.

Covers were not used on the Shelbys.

^^^ as Pete said - but FWIW the covers used rubber straps.

Very, very difficult to get the straps around the lights when installed in the G front valance.

Yes correct 68-70 period cover with rubber straps if you bought Lucas light from anyplace except Ford.

Covers were not used on the Shelbys.

+1 That is why my NOS Ford one I posted a pic of came with no cover. The correct Lucas ones in the Lucas boxes came with covers. Like Pete said there are more than 1 housing. The correct housing I have found is the small hole housing using the small black grommet that looks like an O-ring.  I have a few lens variances  lined up in the pic below.

Looking at my NOS pieces I think this is the first style with the "A" on the left.

Then this style was after. Next to the A is SAEF68 vertically.

I also have with a "M5" on the lower right corner(all referenced by looking at them).I have no clue as to the "M5". I have the M5 on both E11s and non E11s. I also have E11s and non E11s without the M5.

I'm not sure what this was used on (Calif specials?) but it is a circa 68 also but the clear ENGLAND lens. I bought this one for the early housing.

All Lucas covers from the 60s and into the 70s used straps. That cover was circa 68-9 for non Shelby Lucas lamps. Then they went to a later style. One of my NOS E11 ENGLAND  glass has the later style cover on it and a large gray grommet on the housing. While not original I recommend the full black early style covers for protection while driving. first pic early cover. Also notice the early style has "ENGLAND" molded into it. I found that pic with a NOS set of lamps for sale but the lamps had the larger grommet housings and "Foreign Glass" in them.

Correct ones? Black grommet housings and England glass(Not "made in England", blank or "Foreign Glass"). These are the earliest lenses also. There were 2 variants at least I have been told. I also have an NOS lamp with the gray grommet housing with a later "69" lens.

Probably, I have a "bunch" of them. Also have hoods, front fiberglass parts, fenders, front bumpers, set of paradise repro wheels circa 2000s, a few original wheels, some mirrors,  console / gauges, grille, grille aluminum piece, hood chrome pieces,  fender eye brows rechromed, emblems, roll bar for hard top and panels in black, roof retractor seat belts etc.

When I have time I will go pull them out and sell them. More than likely early next year. No time as we are working on a new project  and Thanksgiving,  Christmas and New Years is just around the corner

Looked in to our storage yesterday viewed two boxes that each have 69 428 carburetors and a few engine braces.....the saga continues

I believe that is what is often referred to as the "Spot Lense" or "Long Range" version.
