70 b9 hurst shifter mounting plate is unique because of b9 engine mounted forward . The shifter setup in 69 trans photo is hurst over the counter (like most 69  ford shifters being replaced by hurst) as thats why ford started putting hurst shifters from factory starting in 1970. The 70-71 ford hurst shifter are unique as the chrome handle can be removed from shifter when its installed in the car as its got a flat  locking spring down in the shifter box. I know a guy who would remove his 70 b2 shifter handle when parked to keep anybody from stealing his car back years ago when guys would drive these cars way before trailer queens were being built.
