I'd like to replace the hose I've depicted here, as it it too short, and took a short cut across the valve cover. Is there a source for this, or do I just go to my FLAPS and get some heater hose and call it a day? Car will never be shown in my stewardship, but I'd like to keep it as correct as possible. thanx steve

That hose is molded on both ends and appears to be an original. What makes you think its "too short"?

The hose in question runs from what I think is the EGR valve to the canister (size and shape of an ignition coil) that is part of the emission system. It appears to me that the hose should go in front of the RF aspect of the Right Valve cover. It's machined at an angle/bevel which makes me think the hose goes there and not over the top of the valve cover. Also, there is an indention in the air cleaner snorkel that seems like it would accommodate that hose under it, and make fitting the air cleaner much easier, than trying to force the snorkel over that damn hose. Thoughts? Thanx s

That is the the anti backfire canister. It is part of the thermactor (smog). It appears the hose is routed correctly.

The "snorkel" and the taller valve covers were not originally designed for this engine. The KR snorkel is a unique part to the car

The previous owner, also restored a red KR, which many knowledgeable peoples consider the best 1968 KR restoration. If not the best, certainly in the top three.

I am very, very fortunate to own this very nice car. steve

That hose looks like a completely correct original. The current reproductions are crap. The lettering falls off them as soon as it gets hot. You need to keep that hose. It looks awesome.
