66 shelby underside traction bars

just finishing  a ground up restoration on a 66 shelby , need a little help with welding on the underside traction bar mounts they don't seem to mount flush to the frame with those tabs at the end ,any advice thank you.

Not sure what the tabs at the end are but since the frames are sheetmetal, often not perfectly flat  and the brackets/mounts are heavier metal its not unusual to have some small gaps in the low spots
