This owner sure has a quandary.  Looks like a nice car visually but the history is gonna make it a very hard sell unless he sold it at a price of a nice 67 mustang IMO.

say what you want, but did you even notice the super rare diesel option? yea, phred

There is no way that goes as cheap as a nice mustang. Needs to go to someone looking for a daily driver not a concours show car

At least the owner is honest and discloses it's history unlike so many of us on here.

VIN to new owner...So you have to buy it THEN get the VIN??? I would say "scary" is about right...

Mike, not sure who you are putting in the "US" category but most of the people that frequent this forum are honest from my experience.  Without history and the fact that the registry says it was a total loss coupled with the lack of restoration information is going to make it a hard sale at 6 figures.

Wonder how it feels to drive a big block with no shock tower supports?  That's one I've not even tried  ::)

Hopefully it's a solid rust free example at least presently since the text suggests  that before the restoration it wasn't or the damage was a result of damage from other means. "........the car required an extensive amount of sheet metal durning the restoration"

The no shock tower support /export brace is a sign of a clueless restorer that reinforces the infamous caution fan sticker (in this context) as "the" red flag for incorrect details  ;) .

Can't say I've ever seen this car locally

This is why it is so important to have an informed examination of a cars qualities by someone that knows.  I ran across a really rare beautiful car a while back that I suspected had issues.  Things just didn't add up and when I asked "possible rebody" the guy got really pushy and dropped the price by $40K.  Needless to say, I didn't buy it.  If a person still wanted to spend $$$ after being informed then go for it but the value is in the details.

It's not too far from Pookieville. Looks like his style.

I believe this is car #0670 that was sold at the GAA classics auction in NC back in Feb 2017.
If so, registry notes it was destroyed in a fire.

Curiously it shows the shock tower / export brace in the auction photos.
Maybe it was removed to change the plugs and just poor timing for a photo?

No power steering.  Ouch!

Strange: if this car is indeed the same #0670 that was sold at the GAA classics auction in NC in Feb 2017, the car somehow lost its shock tower support and power steering (notice the Marti in the #0670 photos)...

What about the "Hidden" VIN#.  Isn't there someone in Law Enforcement that can check for it and see if it matches.  Way back in the early 80's I bought a totaled Rolling BOSS 429 Body (no Engine or Tans) that was burned out.  It suffered an Engine Fire that also took out the complete Interior,  and I resold it tripling my Money and the Car was restored.
