WOW! That was some serious coin for this car: $217,250 with buyer's premium.

Anyone know the Shelby #? It's interesting, as Mecum usually identifies the #.
Nothing beats a classic!

You're right. I thought I had read about the car pre-auction.

Thanks!

Encouraging, that's serious cash for a restored(non concourse car)....

The listing states a concours restoration, do you know otherwise?

Concours means something different here that most other car venues.

I did. Red shocks preclude a car a concours restoration? Someone else posted, cape cod Mustang I think, but since deleted, that the car sat for a period of time. So that too precludes a concours restoration? Are there not different levels of concours? Thanks

If memory serves me, that was the only 67 GT 500 at that particular auction.....they seem to do better the less of them  that are at one...

With my judges cap on various originality mistakes can be seen. From past experience seeing this kind and this amount indicate a pattern of similar originality mistakes in other places that can't be seen in pictures provided. Although very nice looking it did not appear to be a very high level concours restoration for SAAC DIV II  car if entered in a SAAC or similar class at MCA or Mid America Shelby concours venue. If you are not familiar with that class/level it is the one which allows the good reproduction parts.

Concourse means that the car should be highly competitive in the Concourse competition. That level of competition is very, very high. The color change away from original alone would virtually dismiss it as such.

Many sellers still use the term inaccurately. This is obviously a very nice car but in this case that term is just seller hyperbola and somewhat of an abuse of that term.

Abuse of the term or not, people seem to be into the clean driver cars. :) Following the recent up tick in activity and prices.
