Can anyone help decipher the factory stampings on the inside and rear of this rim. Thanks in advance for your help. Denny

Denny,

I remember this being brought up before, maybe during the "old" forum.  I don't believe any conclusive information was provided other than wheels with these stampings might be post '66 and were found on wheels manufactured after that time.  I just sold a matching set to a forum member and they all had the same stamping as yours but with different characters.  I'm pretty sure that all four wheels had "4-2-68" along with "1059" handwritten with a marker on the inside.

Do you have a picture of what the front side looks like? A Mopar magnum or a Hertz magnum? They are easy to confuse.

I've attached a photo of part of the back page from the Motor Wheel catalog for 1970.  They provided the unique Magnum 500 for the '66 Hertz Shelby.  I was hoping to find some correlation between the "1059" that I mentioned earlier and the catalog's wheel number of 36046 which is for the 6" Hertz Magnum.  No luck.  On rare occasion you might see a sticker on the inside of the wheel with ID info.
