Has anyone have first hand knowledge of the Drake reproduction early 428 CJ exhaust manifold? They are being advertised by NPD as exact reproductions and it appears they have the Ford engineering numbers cast in as well. Any thoughts on quality, fit and accuracy? Thinking of buying a set for a display engine.

Im not sure if there is more than one offering, however the ones pictured do not look like  1968 1/2 Cobra Jet manifolds, especially around the bolt holes and part numbers

For what its worth, I have not seen any reproduction Drake offerings that are "exact"

Thanks Pete! NPD advertises 3 different 428 CJ exhaust manifolds noting the differences and uses. I was sceptical on the note "exact reproduction" and was considering driving to their Ocala, FL warehouse to look at them.

I saw the long version and the version that uses the spacer, is there another?

Maybe a link?

I got a "New" reproduction pair of them never used  BUT no date codes and just the eng #s on them. I bought them to be "trunk" items if I ever sell the car as I'm running hookers on my Mach1. I paid 375 for them with bolts so at that price I said WTH. They look really good to me the pair I have. On the car I wonder how much you could see fully dressed.

Nothing fits like original.  Im sure a member here could sell you a period set. Something to consider.

depends as in some parts are made off of original tooling. I got a set of repo 428CJ exhaust manifold that are just perfect looking but they are there for the day 2 look as I'll never put the smog or manifolds back on the car. They will be trunk items on my Mach1.
