Radiator on 65 GT 350

I'm under the impression that the G2 radiator is the only original radiator used on 65's. Would an early car(two digit) come originally with anything other than a G2? Thank you, Paul.

I have only ever seen "G2" on the GT350 (with 4 spd) radiators.

That being said, I have occasionally seen radiators that were originally/factory installed in these cars that were changed to "G2" by soldering a stamped plate over the original debossed designation.

I've seen more of these on early GT350s.
