Hello, with retirement on the horizon in the next few years, after much soul searching I have decided to offer our 1966 GT350 Carryover #074 for sale. Asking Price: $219,000 but open to offers

***Interested buyers must read the history of this car in the Registry. If you do not have a Registry, contact me and I will send to you.***

#074 was one of the first cars brokered by Peter Klutt who owns Legendary Motors in Canada

It was also owned by Bill & Jean Whitley. Bill was the SAAC rep in the NY area and while he was driving a Cobra, wife Jean became well known in the area driving #074. Their story can be found in the Fall 2010 SAAC Annual magazine.

Another owner of note was Paul Fix, a well known fixture in the Shelby scene.

I purchased the car from Canada just north of Bellingham, WA during Covid. The story of buying the car across the border during Covid and getting it home appears in the Winter 2022 SAAC Annual magazine.

I drive this car at least twice a week weather permitting and everything works as it should and it runs really well. I was able to purchase a Holley carb dated 1st week of July 1965 off the SAAC website and had Drew Pojedinec rebuild and restore. The engine starts with the bump of the key.

From all accounts, the engine is the original engine and is stamped with the corresponding Ford VIN verified by Howard Pardee. The transmission has an aluminum case dated 12/65 and a cast iron tail shaft. The rear end and housing are most likely original parts. The 3.89 tag remains on the rear end.

The main variations from the original configuration are Ford disc brakes on the rear along with a pan hard bar and side exiting exhaust. Because of the disc brakes, which help stop the car very nicely, there is no parking brake. I do have correct brake backing plates and 10 X 2 1/2" Ford drums that go with the car so the new owner can return to the drum set-up if they prefer.

The odometer shows 54,xxx and talking with past owners that may be accurate but I have no way of verifying.

Again, please read the Registry on this car and contact me directly for more history or questions about the car itself. I am located in a suburb of Denver and have a clean Colorado title.
