Stewart Warner Green Line Gages - What Was Used?

From a friend that had restored and then sold his 1968 Shelby a couple years ago I recently picked-up a couple of spare S-W Green Line gages that he still had. I have a 1967 Shelby, but the gages were for a decent price so I bought them. I know Stewart-Warner is still making Green Line gages, but it got me thinking to look at what is out there currently from S-W, Branda Shelby Parts, the aftermarket like eBay and to see what's in actual 1967 Shelbys.

Because of their extensive photo gallery I took a look at a bunch of 1967 Shelbys that had sold on Bring A Trailer to see some original Green Line gages and it lead me to a couple questions about the Stewart-Warner green line gages in the center gage pod:

Q1 - From when the 1967 Shelbys were built was the Oil Pressure gage suppose to be in the left pod or the right pod, or did they come both ways out of Shelby American?

Q2 - Did Shelby American use the same 0-100 range Oil Pressure gages and the same +/- 60 range Amp (Amphres) gages through the full 1967 Shelby production, or where other range S-W Green Line gages used?

Hi Clifford,
Simple answer to Q1 YES Oil Pressure GAUGE is on left side of pod.
Best info on 68 Gauges is on the coral snake.com in the electrical section.
They are different and that makes 67 a unique setup. Hope this helps.

If I remember, and that's a stretch these days, the '67 & '68 oil pressure gauges are different. One '67 is 100 and '68 80.

One of the biggest differences is the 67 gauge is much larger diameter by comparison to the 68.

Dont be fixated on size. The small one works just as well.
