On the 69 GT500, what color should the pump be painted?

It depends on what type of ps pump you have. You will need to look at the tag for the ID

Yes as Pete stated because ones from both companies were used on the Dearborn assembyline. F on tag stands for Ford Thompson which is the teal blue and since the dipstick was added later it would remain the bright zinc. W on the ID tag is for TRW which is all black and what with dipstick in the unit when it was painted it was also black.
