Here is a photo of a blue 1966 GT350H I recently saw on the "Mustang Heritage" page on Facebook. - https://www.facebook.com/MustangHeritage

Caption with the photo is: "Jan Kyrre Lund - Sunnmøringer on a ski trip in the late 1960s. Guess it's on the way down from Strynefjellet (in Norway). Yes, the car has American plates, belonged to someone who had emigrated from the United States. Photo: Courtesy of Jan Kyrre Lund"

Notice the Washington license plate.  When it was just a....car.  I figured the WASAAC guys would enjoy this one.   :)

Awesome, thanks Brian! Ski pole baskets are definitely 60's, also beehive hair style.  8)

The alignment of the gold stripes on the cowl seem a little off.

No pony in the grille. Not an original color. Re-paint? Or not an original car?

Missing grill pony is an easy give for me. Its a used car and things happen or an owner makes a choice.

Not an original color???

As far as a repaint, during the time period can't think of many owners that would purchase a used Hertz and not try and hide that fact if they were repainting the car white with blue stripes for example and loosing the "H" in the side stripe.

As far as an original or real Shelby?  Can't tell from here only can speculate based on very limited information

As for the cowl stripes I think they are comparing the top surface of the scoop to the cowl. IMO not a good comparison, given the multiple angles of both surfaces and camera angle. Just an opinion

IMO the color difference can be easily explained by poorer color registration from a late 60's camera plus yellowing of an old photo. Reducing possible yellowing by lowering the red and green channels and it gets closer to an original sapphire blue...

Looks like more things that support it being a real Shelby vs. not.  Can see the rear interior quarter sail panels in the pic, no chrome or slide handles showing which would indicate plexi-glass windows.

Mustang emblem missing in grille... maybe stolen during rental period, maybe the owner didn't like it and removed?

Looking at the '66 registry there were 5 blue hertz cars that went to WA state.  Reading the entries for those, no mention of overseas presence, although 6S1162 has no history past new car records and unknown owner/whereabouts.

Could this actually be a black car and not blue?  The angle that light reflects off a shiny surface can create some deceptive views at times.

Considering it is Blue at every angle, and there are 100's of angles I will say it is Blue.
