Auction week AZ 2025

Got to hang out at a few of the usual auction sites and see some good friends and some great cars! The collector market seems to be HOPPIN and BOPPIN... Some HUGE money was in the room this year so maybe a good start to the new year. Be safe , be well. HAPPY COLLECTING/MOTORING-

I was able to visit RM Sothebys, Bonhams and MAG on Thursday, which was their preview day, and then spent Friday afternoon and evening at Barrett-Jackson.
     I was pleasantly surprised by three things at Barrett-Jackson. First, the size and the energy of the crowd. Lots of people and the joint was jumping. Second,the quality of the cars seemed better than ever. It's hard to tell without doing a deep dive into a car as we all know, but there really were almost no fatty looking stuff that I saw. Third was the number of younger people in attendance, which was a great sign and really helped add to the energy of the event. I guess I could add a fourth surprise and that was the price that the black GT500KR hammered for!
    Saturday morning I dropped by Marcus Anghel's open house (thanks Marcus) to end one of my favorite weekends of the year.
