5S433 is coming up for auction at Mecum in Glendale. Curious how a "rebody" will affect the value of this car. Anyone have any experience? Have any sold like this? Looks like a very nice gt350...

A 'Rebody" will kill the value of any car especially a 1965 GT350  8)

True except... Barrett-Jackson pulled the car from their auction and it "never" crossed the block....

Putting the rebody issue aside,the condition of this car would not muster a bronze in concours from a historical standpoint based on what I see in the pictures. Every aspect of the cars condition looks tired. It would worry me with some of the restorations decisions made back when it was restored that what other issues would be discovered as improper that can't be seen in the pictures. It looks to be in nice upper driver car condition IMO if everything works and it runs and steers properly.

     But if you consider things logically, accurately, a "rebody" in the manor of the Mustangs' unit-body construction means this isn't the Shelby vehicle it purports to be, rather it's a different car (Mustang) with 'some' Shelby "stuff" bolted on it!   :o
