Hi Folks,
Looking to have some Midland brake boosters rebuilt, and as per Hemmings it looks like the usual place has moved from Oregon to Washington....."Booster Dewey" is now "Mark"
Is it still the usual quality ?? Has anyone worked with them recently? I'm guessing that
"Dewey" has retired, and the business moved. Thanks for any help.

Just got mine back from him. Not installed so can't say about quality of work.

Check locally first,  we had ours done in town by a heavy duty truck repair shop

We had the option to ship out to "a specialty shop" that only catered to "classic cars"

But the expense of shipping out, repairs (change the diaphragm and new finish) and then shipping it back home, was 3 to 4 times the cost of the local truck shop reusing our unit.

Years later all is well

Dewey did retire and the business is now owned by Mark, who I believe was previously a Dewey employee. Here is the link to their site:

I sent a Midland booster from a KR to them late last year. Turnaround was a few weeks, very happy with the results.

The company does the rebuilding for Don Rush of West Coast Classic Cougar, a very respected vendor of parts and services. There was a very good YouTube video some time ago of Don visiting with Mark and getting a shop tour but I cannot locate it.

Last time I sent one in was maybe 6 months ago. At the time it was Booster "Steve" as Dewey had retired. If Mark is now the owner I think I would still send them my booster for rebuild. They did a great job on the last 5 of them.
