Hi all,

I was curious what might be the common date codes for the HiPo 289 Special Fan blades and what might be the latest date code.  I have seen:

Stamped on blade front side:
  A65 (Input from Rickmustang)
  B65
  C65
  E65  (Input from S2MS)
  F65  (Input from S2MS)
  G65 (Input from S2MS)

Stamped on blade back side:
  J65
  L65
  A66
  C66

I expect these blades were made in batches, so it likely there is not a dated blade for each month in 1965 and 1966. What is the latest date code out there?

What do you have?

I will also note, the date code and part number stamping on the early blades are on the front, difficult to see when installed in a car with fan shroud.  The later blades are stamped on the back and can be easily seen.  See attached images.
Thanks

Cory are you focusing just on 66 production or a wider look at 64-66 with the early style K code fans?

Just wanted to know where to start and stop and sampling

Hi Cory,

I've also seen G65 plus have in my notes an E65 and F65 being for sale in the past.

Hi Jeff,  I was mostly focusing on the 65-66 GT350 K-codes engines.  But I'm open to any knowledge you want to share.  I know the really early HiPo fan blades are also a little different.

Thanks

Hi Dave,  Thanks for the input.  Do you know if all three of your blades were marked in the front?

I've only seen photos of the G65 from an old post on the VMF, no other info on the other two...

OK looked through most of my stuff (low hanging fruit  ::)  and came up with these

Did find one that had a K85 date on it. Not sure of the source

Tried to also include FoMoCo with and without oval around it. Sometimes the FoMoCo are on the same fan blade as the engineering number and date. On others they are on different blades. Didn't include that detail
