On my 67 I need to replace the mesh that covered the opening of where the door speaker would go.  Its in the aluminum trim that goes on the door that also covers the light.  Does anyone know of a material that will be accurate for replacement?

The repro parts have a mesh on them but it does not match the original.  If you have some of your original you can try and finds something that matches.

In the past I've used some off a original that the aluminum portion was damages but the mesh was salvageable.

Try a Music Store that sells Instruments, Speakers and Amps for Home and Professionals.  They usually have a guy working there that repairs PA Speakers and Amps.  It might be the same Material.

I used some black plastic window screen with a little bit of contact cement

the speaker/ amp builder is a good idea that I hadn't thought of thanks.  The screen material that I've seen at home improvement stores has too big a pattern.
