Coralsnake, do you use this handle because your Shelby is brown on the inside? I thought the only two options were white and black. I do remember some mention of a possible red interior option and if so, which year(s) would that have been possible?

Yes, "Coralsnake" refers to a 1968 Shelby that is special paint, orange exterior, saddle (brown) interior. The "coral" comes from a previous owner of the car.

The only interior colors for 1968 are black and saddle. I think its about an 85 /15 % split.

thecoralsnake.com is my website and internet ID.

Red, black and white interiors were used in 1969. 1967s used white and black. The white was called parchment.

Ok, so your orange was a special order color in '68? What's it called? I've never seen a red interior '69 or '70. Black and Parchment were the interior colors for '68, as well?

There was no parchment in 1968.

The orange is the same as the 1969 color, Calypso Coral, but did not have a name in 1968. It was one of six special paint colors used on 1968 Shelbys. It was referenced as WT 5185.

Neighborly? Not in my experience. It was a contest between Gotham and Larsen as to how agressive a dealer could be without being charged with holding a new customer for ransom.

Ask Howard about his first '65. They wouldn't let him leave without buying the car. I asked him if Kolb locked the doors and he just grunted. "Huha!"
