Just a guess, but maybe a replica. They race a lot of Kobras in Europe.

Replicas! There are no replicas at Goodwood! And there is no betting at Bushwood.....................

Here is the blue Cobra at Amelia Island this year.  It really is an incredible color.  Beautifully restored.

Found this one, other than date of 6/12/2011 in Dearborn, MI. No information.

Here's a pic, I've not seen before of CSX2196, captioned as  "Marzolf at Kirker Creek 1966" couldn't find that name linked with the

car in my 4th. edition of the registry, the car number 14, matches another photo I have in my files of Ridenour at Kirker , I believe

he was killed in a sprint car crash in '65 ? From the registry I found that  Mark King owned the car  in '66 and different drivers

where behind the wheel. Is there any more information come to light since the 4th. edition of the registry. Perhaps there is some

error as to dates from various sources ?

The photo caption is incorrect....Dave Ridenour is at the wheel in the modified race as #14 (2196)....Ridenour finished 1st oa/1st C-modified....Don Pike was originally scheduled to drive.  Roland Marzolf (3039) also raced his 427 Cobra under the #14 in the production race....Marzolf finished 2nd oa/2nd A-production.  Ridenour did pass away a few months later in a sprint car accident.  Ridenour was running under the S&C sponsorship for the race.

Thanks kranky ! I was going to call out to you in the post thinking you would come up with the correct answer. You often seem to

have the correct info  ;)

Mike

PS: kranky, you are the man  ! here's a pic of Roland Marzolf in CSX3039 at the same event.

I can see the confusion with two Cobras with the same # 14 running at this event.

That was a pretty track setting.  Not just dirt, half-buried tires, and smog.

Wasn't the track amongst some oil refineries ?
