does anyone know the story when they went from the cut rear retainer to the full retainer.  what cars got what  67 and 68

It was my understanding the majority of '67's got the version posted if any got the full/solid ('68?) version it was very late, others will know more...

I have not found any of the solid version on 67 Shelby's. I am confident that when the change occurred it was at the earliest late 67 production after 67 Shelby production had ceased. I can not remember finding any of the solid style on the unmolested type 67 cars i have come across over the years. Maybe others have.
