Hagerty #2 condition is $166K. I think their values are pretty darn close. Naturally condition choice must be accurate. Been watching '68 GT 350 convert values and they seem to be increasing also. Mine  should have been headed to Indy in May............

I think you will be hard pressed to find many KR fastbacks that have sold for more than $150k ( not auction) ...

I would argue Hagerty is out of whack. Thats just my opinion. Personally, I wouldnt judge values on auction results, which are typically alcohol induced, " my wallet is bigger than yours" male challenges. Auction prices are typically 30-40% over full retail from what I have seen.

Hagerty asked me how much I sold a car for and I was free to make up any number, even though I respectfully declined to answer.

Sounds like auction is the way to sell  ;)
No,really,what/where has most accurate values? I try to find actual selling prices, but hard to eliminate the bs from truth.
Would Hemmings be accurate?

I agree its very hard to cut through the noise surrounding prices. Hemmings is asking prices, so I would say no, but if you watch it for several months, along with other resources, you will start to get a feel for the prices.

I looked up the white KR and it looks very nice. But, you would have to know some of the history of the car before you can make a determination if it was a good buy. I dont know the history.

I can probably find you a car that has multiple national championships for that price.

The auctions are a great resource, sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

I have been watching 1968s for a long time.

There are always blips...but here is a another resource for you...

Pete,I reference your site very often and find the amount of good info to be amazing. I,for one, appreciate all your efforts. Since I have decided to sell my car I think I am looking for reference material that will support my asking price and naturally I found Hagerty. I insure through them and get advice on values from them. Most all Shelby enthusiasts reconize the Hagerty name and I feel since they are not selling cars, but buying to replace loss/claim , their valuations might be a tool to justify price. Gotta start someplace...... ;D

I am not suggesting you cant start higher. Please feel free to ask whatever you like for your car. Its always best to start higher.

I can only relate my experience..they based their values on estimated sales, auctions and owner reported sales.

Maybe there are some new KR owners or former owners that can assist with additional pricing information. More information is always better.
