Not a clone, the real Eleanor, or 1 of 2 so we're told. Silly price for a movie car though.

Judging by the rest-mod prices vs original cars prices it seems to be a Resto-mod market.

That movie car sold Sat night had an automatic transmission.  I'd hate to pay $350K for a movie car that clearly featured a standard transmission and have to explain that mine was the real one from the movie.  I'd probably just tint the windows and keep the doors shut (:

The blue GT500 car with outboards and an automatic did very well last night.  I think it was $240K??

As the price kept creeping the auctioneer kept yelling GO BABY GO I didn't know if that meant suck down so more ALCHOHOL or or keep bidding... Probably both :-[

It was a reference to the movie - the words were on/near the switch/button for the nitrous

I believe it was Steve Davis who kept yapping the same thing.  Every time I heard it was like nails on a chalk board.  It reminded me of a quote from Emerson

Just looking over the cars. I think they had more late 60's Corvette resto/mods than GM made !!
