This 1966 Sunbeam Tiger is finished in Carnival Red over black vinyl and was acquired approximately 17 years ago by the seller, who reports that he is the fourth owner. Power is supplied by a 260ci Ford V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, and alterations from stock include a spin-on oil filter, stainless steel exhaust system, and Minilite-style wheels. The clutch and head gasket were replaced in 2014, while maintenance in the last 1,000 miles included new ignition components, a replacement windshield, and an oil change. This Tiger is now being offered for sale with a Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association Certificate of Authenticity, a removable hardtop, a tonneau cover, original manuals and other documentation, service records, and an Ontario registration in the seller's name.

The Carnival Red (39) finish is shown from a number of angles below. The hood was repainted following a carburetor fire three years ago, and the trunk floor and removable hardtop have been refinished in Mazda Red. Ziebart rust protection has reportedly been removed from painted areas, and a new windshield was recently installed.

13" Minilite wheels wear a bare aluminum finish and are wrapped in Diamondback redline 185/70 tires that were installed in 2013. Reflective tape has been added to the rear fenders, and clear front turn signals have been installed. A replacement soft top and tonneau cover are included in the sale, along with the stock amber lenses, five steel wheels, four hubcaps, and beauty rings.

The interior features black vinyl seats with 3-point belts and replacement carpets. New seat bottom foam padding has been installed, and the seller notes a driver seat seam repair.

A Rootes AM radio is mounted under the dash, which has received a new pad and refinished wood trim. A Lucas 30-amp ammeter and a new old stock cigarette lighter were added, and the factory clock has been removed but accompanies the vehicle. According to the seller, the speedometer is inaccurate and the turn signal stalk return is erratic despite recent repair. Under 82k miles are shown on the odometer, which is not believed accurate.

The 260ci Ford V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox. Maintenance personally performed by the seller included the installation of a new head gasket, clutch, and oil pump in 2014, as well as new ignition components within the last 1,000 miles.

An Econoline-type oil filter adapter and stainless steel exhaust system have been installed. Additional underbody photos are viewable in the gallery below, along with images showing the clutch replacement and carburetor fire damage.

A Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association Certificate of Authenticity and service records are included in the sale. This Tiger can be picked up in Toronto, Ontario or at the seller's second residence in New Jersey in the spring, and a driving video is viewable below.

be hard to believe if that car sells for $35k...  :( :( (I'm not familiar with the "rules" of BaT)

It appears that this car has a reserve set - if there is "no reserve" it is stated in the headline for that car.  By default if it does not say "No Reserve" there is one.

Also bidding continues, after the designated deadline as long as bids continue to be given and until no further bids are given in a 2 minute count-down.

If the car has no reserve the car sells, if the reserve is meet the car sells, if the reserve is not met then it get a "RNM".

The high/current bid is always shown.

The reserve, if there is one, is never shown or disclosed.

thanks for the details.
Looking at the Red MkII and this car... wondering what happened for the values to sag a bit? Or maybe sometimes the owners just have to wait for the right buyer?
