65 Shelby Automatic?

Sorry to bother you with this question as I think I know the answer, however my soon to be ex-friend (just teasing) won't let it go. 

Was there ever a 65 Shelby GT350. "Automatic".  A friend says that he heard from another friend that a former Shelby employee had on built.

Someone here must know if there was one or even could be one.  Thanks - Doug

Seems pretty unlikely.  Of course, once an owner got his new GT350 home, he could do whatever he wanted with it.  But reducing the 'racing' aspect of these cars was not what most owners were looking to do.
