LED lights for Console Gauges

I just picked up a '65 Mustang convertible, and the previous owner changed every bulb in the car with modern LED's.  Wow, what a difference!  I now can actually read the gauges at night.  The headlights are super bright and the taillights and turn signals look really nice.  I would highly recommend for any drivers out there.

Yes, they make LED headlamps in the 5 3/4 size bulb.  They aren't cheap!

Anyone have a link to one they have experience with?

Since LED draw so much less amperage, you get much brighter using stock looms and switches, correct?

This is also an option. You can run even the 100W with this one. It is plug and play and very hard to notice. The relay can be hid easily.

 Vic at Cougars Unlimited in Alburqurque, NM. is a great source. Those with sequential units cannot just throw LED's in without changes.

I used Vic's 1969 rear LED sequential system in my Shelby and it made a huge improvement and works perfectly.  Thanks to Gary for the recommendation.  I put Halogen bulbs in my front headlights from Virginia Mustang.  They made a big improvement and were not too expensive.  I might do the front turn signals next.  My rear tail lights and turn signals are super bright now.

Do the dash LED lights work with the dimmer functionality of the headlight switch?

I remember speaking to the owner of hi po parts about the dimming of dash lights.  He specifically told me they may or may not dim depending on some factor.  I don't remember what he said now.  Might have had something to do with the dash voltage regulator and/or headlight switch.

I love how bright the tail lights are. My headlights are Marchals(think originals for Europe?) and are not sealed beam. I was told back then they were "50-100s" and that bright was brighter than what was allowed in America. That was 1985. Anyways my brights are really bright so I have not gone to LEDs on the headlights and my pic shows how bright the tail lights are with LEDs. I'm happy with them. And those that use Bill from HiPo parts you won't be disappointed. Great guy.  Gary
