Correct Fasteners for Attaching Export Brace to Cowl

I know that there has been previous discussions/photos of the attachment bolts for brace-to-cowl assembly. It was also mentioned that there were different types depending on serial number/production dates.

I'm seeking to find out what type of bolt/finish was correct for my car, which is 6S803, built somewhere in the mid-November/mid-December ('65) time frame. As always, pictures are most appreciated.

AMK used to sell a correct kit. The bolt head has no marking (smooth) zinc silver finish. Sometimes a lock washer would be under the head but more typically it was not from my observations.  Same ones were typically used in 65.66 and the majority of 67 and 68 Shelby's.

I too have always seen the hex bolt with no head markings.

Originals from 6S1757 are like Jeff's pics....smooth bolt heads with washers under the bolt.

Yes, they look to be clear (silver) zinc plated.
