Can't say I remember ever seeing what appears to be glossy paint on a side-pipe.  Wonder how well that held up to exhaust heat.

These photos are so cool!!  All these folks, do they still own these AC's? Back in the late 70's, They had to know these Cobras were something special, even like looking into a crystal ball, that in the future they would be worth a lot of dough.  But probably didn't realize in the late 70's they would rocket into the $$ stratosphere.
