I use to own 3132 and it had the black smooth interior also. Not exactly sure of the build date though.

Thanks You Sir!

From the 2011 Registry; #3132 GT500 Dark Moss Green built at San Jose 6/29/67 in DSO group 89-2609
It would be great if you had a Marti Report to share the DSO item number, but we are grateful for whatever puzzle pieces we can get.

I was recently asked if I'm still working on identifying the later 6A trim 1967 Shelby's. My answer...
YES, ABSOLUTELY!!!

While new information is coming in at a snail's pace, here are a couple of tidbits to keep this subject moving forward.

-It currently appears possible that only one car in the DSO 2608 group may have the 6A trim based on the SJ build date. That Nightmist Blue car is #2933.
Finding the Marti report for that car might be key. There could be some others in this DSO group, built after this SJ build date, but so far we have not found any.
#2933 was built at San Jose on 6/5/67 and might be the first day this later 5A material shortage began.

-The remaining DSO groups to look at closely continue to be 2609, 2610, 2611, 2612, 2613, and 2614.

-Our current belief is there were at least three separate dates the materials shortage affected SJ builds.
Some of these dates extend over a few days before the 5A trim was replenished at the SJ factory.

Rich,

Smooth seats in 0062.

Build date 10/21/66
Trim 6A
DSO 842505
DSO Item 0510

Thanks,
Mike

Richstang

Thank You SpartanSmoke.
Every car in this entire early DSO group 2505 should have the smooth 6A trim.
The DSO ITEM number is also a help, placing your car. #0062, in the SJ build order within that DSO group.

Thank You Wedgeman.
#2944 with 6A trim was built at SJ on 6/5/67 (a Monday). We have not found any cars with 5A trim on that day.
The material shortage may have started on 6/2/67 (Friday) since we found some cars with the 5A trim and none with 6A trim on the date.
...so far.

(I apologize if I'm repeating myself.)

Where there any Parchment smooth seat do we know ?

All Parchment trim on the '67 Shelby's were the '5U' (comfortweave) code as ordered by SAI.

Hi Richstang;

I was the second owner of 67 GT350 3136.  I bought the car from Hemphill/McCombs Ford in San Antonio Texas in late 69 and then sold it from Sonoma California in 74.  In reading through this thread I notice that 3129 and 3132 have been reported as having the 6A or "smooth" trim code.  I don't have a Marti or build date but I am confident that 3136 had the 5A or "comfortweave" trim option.  Hope this helps.

THANK YOU for sharing this info from your Marti Report. I'll get it added to the data base.
Every car we can get the confirmed Marti info from gets us closer to defining when these trim shortages occurred
#3129, was built at San Jose 6/28/67 and is another date we identified as having the 5A trim shortage.

Hi Grant,

Welcome to the forum!

Your memory serves you well. #3136 did not appear in a DSO group (2604) with the '5A' trim shortage.
I either talked to the current owner or maybe a close friend recently about it. It's in New Zealand now.
The base unit was built by Ford SJ on 7/3/67 so we're still watching the date just in case something pops up.
I'll make a note of a past owner reported '5A' trim.
Thank You!

After reviewing several Marti Elite reports (upper right statistics section) we're getting closer to indentifying all the later 6A trim equipped cars.
Currently, we have a clear indication of the Lime Gold and the Wimbledon White factory painted cars.

If anyone has a Marti ELITE report and is willing to share, please contact us to discuss.
I'm particularly focused on Elite reports for the following 5A or 6A trim cars
(listed in order of the ELITE reports upper right statistics; Model / Transmission/ Paint / Interior);

- GT500, Automatic, Nightmist Blue, Black 5A or 6A trim
- GT500, 4-speed, Dark Moss Green, Black 5A or 6A trim
- GT500, 4-speed, Brittany Blue, Black 5A or 6A trim

- GT350, Automatic, Dark Moss Green, Black 5A or 6A trim
- GT350, Automatic, Brittany Blue, Black 5A or 6A trim
- GT350, 4-speed, Nightmist Blue, Black 5A or 6A trim
- GT350, 4-speed, Dark Moss Green, Black 5A or 6A trim
- GT350, 4-speed, Brittany Blue, Black 5A or 6A trim

Thanks in advance for any help to get this mystery resolved!
