Any interest in a '70 Boss 302?

If I'm looking to buy one of the over 7K 1970  Boss 302s built(half with Shakers) I'd want a shaker and deluxe interior. There isn't a "supply/demand issue for rarity on a 70 Boss. they built a LOT. Nice color would help but without seeing better underneath pics,  what it is missing under the hood and other correct parts there or missing you could possibly be looking at a car in the 40s to low 50s. Now add on a quick estate sale to me 65K seems high. In other words to find a Boss i'd pass on this option list unless it was cheap. Just my .02 worth. BTW I found by personal experience selling a car on a forum the Boss 302 forum has been the best. We sold a 427 side oiler 69 R-code 4 speed Mach1 there a few years ago in one day.  Gary

The right front floor pan looks like it was wrinkled and straightened, Could be from and accident could be from poor rust repair and the rocker lip doesn't look straight. Not sure how much is due to camera angle but it looks weird. Doesn't match the other side. Just make sure it wasn't smacked in the side and repaired poorly. Sure it could be corrected but don't pay too much

Agree. That right front floor and rocker looks hinky.
Actually it's better in real pics.  Ill send you some.

Boss 302s...

It better be a factory shaker car if you're trying to resell..

Just my .02

Being a flat hood car will make it more difficult as well as the fact that it has blue guts.  Blue is more rare, but not necessarily desirable.

Do you think having a properly tuned in-line Autolite 4BBL carburetor and Cross Boss manifold would make up for the lack of a Shaker?

I mean, those are pretty incredible if they are tamed correctly.

I wonder what a no reserve BaT auction would bring?

Having had a few shaker 70's I think it's fun to have a flat hood car. But most people want a shaker. I love the blue on blue but most want black interior.
65 is High unless numbers match and no Repop and perfect OG Metal.

Rear gear ratio is super relevant to price.

All this is super important if ur paying over 50 for a car like this just to get the other car unless ur buying the Shelby enough under the money to cover the difference.

PM if you don't know where the VIN derivative is on the block,... I'll help u find it if it's there.

Normally on these it's pretty easy to see VIN on inner fender with a small amount of work. I wouldn't touch one without seeing it on one side at least.

papa scoops

the only purpose of the shaker was to tell you if you have a broken motor mount. phred

2112's link was one of the reasons I mentioned the prices I did. Also when the cars do not meet reserve on any auction I am always suspect if there were any shill bidders bidding up to just below a reserve price.

Just so everyone knows, I'm honestly not looking to make any money off these two cars.  I just want the opportunity to purchase a third car.  But if I make an offer on all three, I need to know what's the minimum price I could get for each, so I can figure what to offer.  Or have them pre-sold before I make an offer.  For this car, the 1970 BOSS 302, I was thinking $60k, but hit me up if you are interested and you think it should be lower.  This whole thing is a long shot and the chances it's going to come through is seeming slimmer by the day.  Thanks for any input.

Brian,
FWIW
As others have pointed out, the pass front framerail has had work done on it or replaced.
1)If you look at the very back of the drivers side frame rail you can see that the portion that is spotwelded to the floor extends past the sides and then tapers down to the back of the framerail.  The passenger side matches the sides of the framerail.
2)You can see that there are spotwelds missing where it is welded to the floor (interior portion)
3)There should be two holes on the bottom of the passenger side framerail similar to the drivers side.  Only the larger one where the body buck was mounted is present.
