Lee Holman to join us at SAAC-44

Lee Holman of Holman Moody will join us at SAAC-44 as a Featured Speaker and Celebrity Judge.

Lee Holman was literally born into the high-stakes business of racing, Holman & Moody having been cofounded in 1956 by his father, John, and the early stock car racing legend Ralph Moody. For years, they ran Ford's de facto factory NASCAR team, and then branched out into international competition. Lee is fully versed in the intrigues, politics and dizzying finances that accompanied Henry Ford II's mission to beat Ferrari at Le Mans.
A Holman & Moody GT40 Mark II was one of the three that attempted to stage a dead heat for first in the 1966 race. Before that, Lee was sent to work with Alan Mann Racing after it took over the Cobra Daytona coupe program in Europe from Shelby American.
Holman & Moody also prepped the team of Ford Falcons that contested major European rallies before the team headed to Le Mans.

Lee Holman Jr. is a nice guy. He gave my FDNY 3rd Battalion tribute Fairlane Station Wagon his celebrity choice pick at Ford Carlisle last week. He has a funny story  about driving with open headers through I think the Lincoln Tunnel in New York City  with one of those rally Falcons back in the day.😀🏁👍

I am interested in finding out, for automotive archival & historical purposes, if anyone herein the SAAC community has open ties with Mr Holman.

He and his partner played parts, similar to what Carroll did with AC, in regards to having Intermeccanica cars shipped to there shops from Italy.

I am hoping that he has some memories and or documents as such.
Ironically, many did recieve the same engine Carroll used, the 289 HiPo
