4-speed metal fuel line, pump to carb

Does anybody have a pict they can post? I bought a NOS metal line (fuel pump to carb) from Tony Branda and it doesn't connect and we had to install a piece of hose between the end of the line and the carb.

If his car is 5S081 he would not have neither the adapter nor the fuel filter.
He probably got the 66 type fuel line instead of the 65 type.

It would be the same 1965 style fuel line setup either way, but the avatar is sfm5s081, indicating a full 1965 car – not a carryover. I know the owner of 6S081 and I don't think he participates on this forum.

So the original poster may have gotten in the wrong area. But either way – whether he's asking about 5s081 or 6s081 – the answer is the same. The correct fuel line style for his car is the 1965 setup with no fuel filter between the pump and the carb. The filter was an integral part of the fuel pump on those cars.

Of course if the fuel pump has been replaced with something non-standard for his car then all bets are off.

A picture of the offending part installed would most likely tell the tale.

So which of those cars are you asking about?

In short:
If the filter is on the pump ('65 style) then no filter at the carb.
If the filter is not on the pump ('66 style) then one should be at the carb.
