In post #11 there is this picture of cars along with drivers. The same picture appeared in a two-page advertisement in the April 1967 Car and Driver. I've scanned the ad and at the bottom, the drivers and their cars are identified.

Thomas, thank you for posting these fantastic pictures! I am struggling to decide if the coolest is this picture, the Mustang and Cougar Prototypes or the Ford GT at LeMans in the rain taken from the air?

To have all those cars together in one place is feat uppon itself, with drivers, mind boggling at the logistics and visceral intensity.   Any thing today would be photoshopped and unbelievable...

Thomas (or anyone on the forum) do you know where this picture of the assembled Ford race cars was taken?

TJ, I agree, how they got all those drivers and cars together is quite amazing.

JWH, looking at the grading at the sides of the track, wild guess Riverside ????   It's more likely that all those cars and drivers

would be on the West coast (California)

I've included a pic of a Mustang parade lap at the '68 Riverside Trans-Am race for comparison.

That is #875 on the inside row, 3 cars back.

Here is the text blurb that goes with that drag snowmobile/'69 XR-7 Cougar photo that Thomas posted.

Darn thing was designed by Larry Shinoda - no wonder it looks so cool.

This is from the July 1969 issue of Hot Rod magazine.

Nothing beats a classic!

What a super cool vintage 69 photo.

Just look at the boys and the way they're in AW over the sno drag. The younger boy would be about 7-8 yrs old, exactly same age I was in 1969.

Priceless

Cool pics, thanks for sharing. It'd be neat to get who ever is left to sign the pic with all the different drivers.
