Nice car, but the off-center stripe on the side marker light ruins it for me.   De-stripe and try again.  This isn't a Pinto.

I never noticed this side marker lamp issue with the stripes before, but I do now! So the stripe is to be centered in the middle of the front scoop and the rear marker?
Waitin' for the day I get my first '70 Shelby convertible!

If you notice, the left side stripe doesn't match the right. One brake scoop it wraps around, the other it's trimmed short of that.

Not only are the stripes not centered through the rear reflector, they aren't equally spaced.

It is such a dominant park of a 69/70 that I have found the eye is quickly drawn to a misapplication.

Yes, first thing I see and would feel the need to correct if I had a '69/70 Shelby, but others may feel differently and I can believe there was some "variation" at Ionia.

Yes, human error played a big part of the variations seen on 69/70 Shelby stripes . I have seen some terribly crooked original stripes as well as ones that were not centered well. I understand that there was a person on ether side of the car and they had to put the strips on in under 5 minutes. With all that said they visually look best and were engineered to be centered as I described.

Bill the rear stripe was originally one piece  not a small separate piece on the endcap like in your photo of orange car. Are u sure your stripes in your photos were put on in 1969?

Given the age of the car, and the fact I am the 3rd owner, I cannot say
