MECUM Auction cars in Monterey 8/15

I went with friends to the MECUM auction on Thursday to check out the cars they had. I was pleasantly surprised to see several Cobras one was the metallic pink CobraSnake, also Drew Serbs or at least last I knew was Drew's CSX3016, the 65 Prototype GT40 roadster, S5148 and a very nice Dr blue 67 GT500. The Steve McQueen Bullitt car, the one that was found in a Mexican junk yard. It was in an enclosure, so I couldn't get close ups.

That's correct, as the documentation near the car shows as such.

Man, the patina on this car gave me goose bumps! Also, it's really cool to see the support braces that were welded in place under the car for the move. They weren't messing around!

Hello Jeff, you would have thought I would have read the info other than me just assuming it was the car that was found in the Mexican junk yard. Thanks for the correction.
