Still a great movie. Parking attendant: "You fellas have nothing to worry about.  I'm a professional."      Cameron: "Professional what."
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

It's not a movie car, but one that most anyone who watched TV in 1968-69 will remember...Mannix's Dart GTS 340 convertible, with subtle "kustom" work by Barris.

I loved it then, and it's in my garage now. Tracked it down ten years ago and bought it.

Then I got in touch with Mannix star Mike Connors and reunited him with the car for a magazine article and TV segment I did.

That day, the inner kid in me had a lifelong dream come true.  Pretty cool feeling.

I like this Mannix Ride better................

The Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds.

NOT!  I kid.  ;D

The Ferrari (imitation) from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.  What an influential car / movie during one of the most influential times in my life.

First thing that comes to my mind is the Ferrari 308.  Back in high school (with my C Code/Auto green coupe) that and a Shelby were my dream cars.

just a note, the 70 vp challenger desert scene and the Bullitt chase used the same soundtrack. phred

That's something I didn't know.  Thanks for the info!  Must be just another reason I like the movies so much.

Wow, so many to choose from. For me, hands down it's the sinister black '68 Charger from Bullitt.
