Vern:  I don't think it's a "smoking deal"..

But I think it's a fair price for a buyer that wants to drive a 67 GT 350 and worry about how "perfect" or "correct" it is later....

We all know that it's better to purchase a "done" car but it really doesn't fall into everyone's budget.

And more and more buyers are telling me that restoring their Shelby's turned into nightmares that they're "upside-down" on...

Perhaps I wasn't clear in my post but I agree with your assessment that it's a fair price for this specific car and that it would make a good car to drive, enjoy, and not worry too much about.

My post was made in dispute to the implication earlier in this thread that 84k for this car was a low sale result. Seems appropriate to me.

Hey Bret,

Take a read of my previous post, I agree with you. I said the price seems fair (certainly not low like implied by other posters) and I also specifically said that a strong argument could be made for the price being strong/high market for this particular car.

So I think we are agreeing here?

I sold three 67 GT 350 projects over the last few months....
They had much better integrity than this Jersey car but I got in the 60's and 70's...

This Jersey car doesn't have the correct engine or transmission..
But it got the buyer to "first base" at least....

Not a HP engine
Missing a few parts..

How did you verify that it wasn't a HP engine? He does mention the heads being incorrect.

A nicely done 1967 Mustang fastback tribute to a GT500 well done just sold for 147+ fees at Barrett Jackson! So when they are done well in the right venue your 67GT350 is still very valuable

As an update and for the record the engine for this Shelby is a C5AE6015E with a 7A24 date code, according to the 67 registrar this DSO didn't stamp vins on the block.

The car went to a good home and the new owner is making improvements as we speak. The date codes on the block look good. It will be necessary to pull the pan to have a look to be sure but so far so good. It is great that the car went to an enthusiast.
